About Donovan Rabie

Throughout my life, I wandered, adrift without a sense of purpose. However, I always knew I had a purpose and must help people. This is when I experienced “The Calling” from mother Ayahuasca, and later various other plant medicines. These experiences were profound (to say the least), unveiling layers of understanding, clarity, and a connection to my soul that was previously hidden.

However, upon returning to everyday life, I often lacked the necessary support to fully integrate these transformative experiences. This gap ignited a passion within me – a desire to offer the guidance and support I never received to others who may find themselves in similar crises. My journey ignited a deep interest in altered states of consciousness and lucid dreaming, further fueling my commitment to helping others navigate their own inner landscapes.

As a Plant Medicine Integration Wellness Coach & Transformation Specialist, I am dedicated to providing compassionate support and empowering individuals to integrate their experiences for lasting growth and healing. In addition, I offer a safe therapeutic space filled with compassion and empathy to allow my clients to feel secure as they experience themselves without judgment or criticism. I embrace this honour and privilege and strive to lead myself as an ethical and professional coach who always considers the best interests of the client.

Donovan Rabie's approach to integration

My integration approach centres on creating a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore and process their plant medicine experiences. Through a person-centred approach, I prioritise each individual’s unique needs and goals, tailoring my guidance to support their integration journey.

Drawing from trauma-informed principles, I emphasise emotional safety and empowerment, helping individuals navigate any challenges or difficult emotions that may arise. Additionally, I integrate mindfulness techniques, somatic awareness, and creative expression to facilitate deeper self-awareness and insight. My goal is to empower individuals to integrate their experiences in a way that promotes healing, growth, and a greater sense of wholeness in their lives.

Here’s how I contribute to harm reduction:

  1. Preparation: I educate my clients about the potential risks and benefits of psychedelic use, including topics such as dosage, set (mindset), and setting (environment). I also help my clients prepare mentally, emotionally, and practically for their psychedelic journey, which can minimise the likelihood of adverse outcomes.
  2. Risk Reduction Strategies: I assist my clients in developing harm reduction strategies to mitigate potential risks associated with psychedelic use. This may involve discussing safety protocols, such as having a trusted sitter present during the experience, ensuring access to a safe and comfortable environment, and avoiding certain substances or activities that could increase vulnerability.
  3. Integration of Insights: After the psychedelic experience, I help my clients integrate the insights, emotions, and lessons learned into their daily lives. By providing a supportive space for reflection and processing, I help my clients make sense of their experiences and identify actionable steps for personal growth and healing.
  4. Emotional Support: Psychedelic experiences can be intense and emotionally challenging. Therefore, I offer emotional support and validation to my clients who may be struggling with difficult emotions or psychological distress following their journey. This support helps prevent potential harm by promoting emotional resilience and coping skills.
  5. Referrals and Resources: I connect my clients with additional resources, such as mental health professionals, peer support groups, or harm reduction organisations, to further support their well-being and address any ongoing concerns or needs.
